When RL imitates your bloggy life...

...then, yes... then what? Nothing.
I just noticed lately that my room looks like my blog.
Black, white, red.
Hells, even my new fave guitar is black-white-red!!

I even have pics from both my blogs in my room.
Plus some works of the incomparable Rashell!!
And a... uhm... well, it's a lemon. Yes.

Uhm... ok, the guys on my window sill are something else.
The fat transvestite and the mistress are two of the dolls

Black, white, red.... I just can't help it - I like this color combi.

Random, much? Yes. Whatever... LOL. Thanks for visiting :)

The effect of reading rated M fan fic

The following conversation between me and my dear hubs took place yesterday night. It was very... pleasant.
To give credit to whom it belongs, I posted a transcript of it as a fan fic review (of sorts) on ff.net to... well, I'll tell you afterwards, ok?
- - - - - - - -
Somewhere in Northern Germany...
Mr.B: What's the matter with you, wife?
Betti: What do you mean? Can I not just snuggle into my hubs when I feel like it?
Mr.B: I don't know, you seem weird - why are you biting my neck?
Betti: Because I love you so much, and will do so for the rest of my life!
Mr.B: And you can't love me for the rest of your life without giving me a hickey?
Betti: Stop whining! I want to ask you something.
Mr.B: (warily) U-hu?
Betti: Don't you feel sometimes like taking me out for a picnic under the stars or anything?
Mr.B: WHAT?!?
Betti: You heard me.
Mr.B: Not really - you tongue was in my ear.
Betti: I just realized that you never really proposed to me and...
Mr.B: (with narrowed eyes) Were you just reading fan fic again?!?
Betti: Yes, but...
Mr.B: Aha!!
Betti: ?
Mr.B: No picnic, ok? It's December!
Betti: Proposal?
Mr.B: What were you reading?
Betti: EdwardtookBellaoutforapicnickunderthestarswherehepropoesedtoher!
Mr.B: And then? What happened then? Did Bella make Edgar a hickey?
Betti: It's Edward, and no - she didn't make a hickey. She said yes and then she f*cked him out off the orbit, ok?
Mr.B: I see. That's very romantic.
Betti: I know, right?
Mr.B raises from the couch, puts the plaid blanket down on the carpet and motions for Betti to sit down. He fetches two cups of yogurt from the fridge, and two spoons, and joins Betti on the floor. They eat silently. And then...
Mr.B: Betti Gefecht, if we weren't married yet, would you marry me? Again?
Betti: ...
Mr.B: Come on, yes or no?
Betti: I cannot answer immediately; you're supposed to be anxious and doubtful now. So when I finally say yes, you almost can't believe it and you are ĂĽber-happy!
Mr.B: I can assure you I'm very doubtful indeed!
Betti: (huskily) Yes...!
Subsequent events censored for a reason.
30 Minutes later, the above 'review' was written...

I thank fragilefoxes for the wonderful, romantic, touching and inspiring chapter 10 of In The Blood! *sighs*

And look - the hubs says Thank You, too!

Betti & MrsVanquish met for NM

In case you missed pt.1 of this little comic, check out "Alice sees the future" first. Well, noone would ever bet against Alice... but there were a few things she hadn't foreseen. Mrs.V and I fucking did it! And I learned a lot!

And here's how it started...
Betti's trip started more than awesome:
she met "RPattz 2.0" on the train!
Yikes, her lovely morning eye candy!!! She hadn't
seen him in weeks, and there... that had to be a sign!!
Plus: she got her shit together and finally talked to him.
She was really, really eloquent and scared the shit
out of the poor boy. But he's got her number. Strike!

But there was more yumminess to come:
the hamburg soccer team was on the plane!
Betti was almost the only female among a horde
of sports gods in their twenties. Did she have a
pleasant flight? Ooohh yeaahhhh!!

First thing Betti learned about Mrs.V:
She's even smaller than Mini-E!
Well, not really... but when they hugged, Betti
still had to bend her head down a little in order
to place an Edwardly kiss on Mrs.V's hair
(which she did a few times, because it feels
really nice to hug and kiss small Mrs.V)

Mrs.V also is an extraordinary generous
host and a hell of a cook!
And she was very concerned about Betti's weight,
or better: her lack of weight. So she made a magic
Lasagne with mythical ingredients that made Betti
ask for more two times! Betti already considered
bursting of pasta a good way to die, but she hadn't
seen New Moon yet, so...
They delighted each other with awesome
presents to celebrate their twi-gagement!
There were New Moon fan wristbands and badges, CDs,
magazines, posters, twi-gagement bracelets for both
and a fucking Mini-E for Betti!!! Oh, and not to forget the
noodles in the shape of small planes... yeah, dont ask!

Betti also learned that Mrs.V actually
deserves her nickname WIME*
(*Water In My Eyes). She didnt even bother
to wipe the tears away after a while. She cried
from minute one to the end credits, even when
she laughed. During the movie, there was
frequently hand-holding, snuggling and
death-gripping going on with Betti and Mrs.V.

Betti will always remember the romantic
nights with Mrs.V on her balcony!
One can truly say, the bond between them has tightened
during the exciting weekend they spent together.
If possible, they do love each other even more now.
Mrs.V even showed Betti her stemm cells! Well, not
her own personal stemm cells, of course...
and Betti coped extraordinary well with the iPhoning,
macbooking and flatscreening. So... watching Eclipse
together is a done deal!!

Artsie replies! Challenge Recap III

Epic Calamity Challenge Pt.3 Recap

My dear commenters,
I felt a little like a cheater when I did the last challenge, because

1. Knowing she can't resist anything about music, I had involved Betti when I was supposed to do it all on my own. I was glad noone mentioned this in their comments.

And 2. I didn't exactly find a 'lullaby' - which could have meant I lost the challenge. But Mrs. Vanquish seemed to be pleased.
So I have to thank you all, for your wonderful comments and for being lenient toward me.

I said to myself: "Artsie," I said, "this time you should think of something to not only reward your readers, but especially to make Betti happy - since you used an emotional piece of music to trick her, so she would help you, in spite of herself!" - And as usual, I couldn't help but agree with myself.
But first things first...

What shall I say? WIME is here, just saying. Everything emotional triggers water in my eyes and this was just beautiful. I closed my eyes and thought about everything Edward dealt with while writing this piece of art or when he struggles if it's right to want Bella.

The pic and the expression on his face is perfect.

Please please let me hug you ! (if you don't want one Betti has to take a few more..)

Thanks.

I was really hoping it would work that way. And I appreciate how you opened up to my choice in spite of the fact that it wasn't really something that could replace the lullaby.

As for the hugs... uhm, I'm getting used to them. I think I can take one more. Thanks. Yes... err, I said 'one'! Ok...

Just beautiful. I used to take piano lessons when I was younger and always wanted to continue as an adult but 1) Don't have a piano (I did when I was younger) and 2) My piano teacher was mean! But I really enjoyed the song and could picture Edward playing this. Loved it.

A mean piano teacher? Hmm... what did he or she do to you? Don't get me wrong when I say, many music students, especially kids, would call their piano teacher 'mean' for just being told to not practise enough or something like that. But maybe he was mean, how would I know?

Anyway - if you really want to play now, but can't afford to buy a piano, you might want to consider the purchase of an electronical keyboard. They don't cost a fortune, and the piano sounds and even the velocity sensitivity of the keys are quite convincing nowadays. Plus: you could play night and day, because you can use headphones. If there are still any excuses left, let me know.

Oh Betti the song is just beautiful! And the look on Rob's face in that pic is priceless.

I'm sure Betti will be happy to hear this. I can't deny that she had added to my choice considerably.

First, once I started the guitar video, there was NO turning it off. It had me awestruck... Beautiful!

Second, I am a sucker for instrumental music. And any good looking guy who is actually playing a piano decently is such a turn on. Always has been, always will be. (if you check out my meme answers, Beethoven has been one of my favorite musical artists ever since I was 3 when I started learning to play Fur Elise. Anyway...)

Third, I didn't want it to end... :*) I had to sit there a few min with my eyes closed letting it all sink in. The piano is absolutely, hands-down, my favorite instrument. French horn in 2nd then acoustic guitar in a very close 3rd. That was a very, VERY beautiful piece.

First, I like that you liked the vid. Awesome performance, hu? Even when suddenly Spain breaks lose in the middle...

Second, I second that. Though I don't consider Beethoven a good looking guy. But I know what you mean. The Moonlite Sonata is one of my faves too. Just curious: Did you ever get any further than FĂĽr Elise?

Third, if it was like that, you really make me ĂĽberhappy, because it's exactly what I was hoping to acchieve.

Artsie, I'll have you know I am not a cryer....except when it comes to music. Tears are now streaming down my face at work. Beautiful, closing my eyes, and imaginging the dueling emotions, just...speechless. You cease to amaze me.

Thank you very much, for your kind words, and for letting an extraodinary piece of music work its magic on you. *whispers* I was crying too, but I didn't let Betti see that. And I don't want Fanny to know that, because she would be making fun of me for the next four weeks, minimum.

This song is seriously very beautiful. Makes me miss playing piano. Must find time to do that, the piano is just sitting there. The only people playing it are 3 years old and 7 months old. Sad, sad. Anyway, nice find, the music is very appropriate and amazing!

So you own a piano but don't play? How weird is that! Does the instrument not call for you? You should use the next quiet hour you have to just take a seat in front of it, lay your hands on the keys and listen... your piano might have something to say to you. But I'm glad you liked the music.

I hadn't heard that (or the musician) before - so thanks for sharing something new with me!

I can totally see where Edward would play/feel in this piece. I also really loved the piano arrangement. Dare I say, liked it more than the original!

Thanks Artsie for sharing!!!!

PS - Mrs. V, I don't mind the original lullaby at all. It's a bit cheesy - but that sucker gets stuck in your head like no tomorrow (which is the general idea!) I think my only complaint is with how simple it was - of course, it's for a pretty simple movie, so I guess it fit!

Oh, may I say, Betti was very curious looking forward to your 'verdict'. She told me you are musically educated. It thrills me to hear I found something you didn't know before.

I actually liked the original 'Bella's Lullaby' by Carter Burwell too. It stucks in your head, though the melody is actually a little edgy (like it's supposed to be), at least the first line is. I think Burwell did an overall good job with the score, it definitely upgraded the movie.

Mrs.Robward - my dear godauntie. I love you too.

I love your fan fic shizz, and as long as you don't touch them, you may love my cankles until doomsday.

It's not what I would necessarily think of for a lullabye, but I definitely could see Edward creating something like this for Bella. It has its sweet moments and its intense, emotional moments and then it ends when you think it should just keep on going forever. I like it...much better than what they did in the movie...that was ALL sorts of wrong.

I like what you had to say about the piece. It moved over just the way it should. As for the latter, I personally think, the movie itself was all sorts of wrong (Sorry, Betti!), except for the music... uhm, and yes, Robert Pattinson kinda saved it too.

------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm going to end my recap with a gift as usual.

This time I'd like to dedicate it to

Betti to thank her for helping me

with the music challenge.

So because it it is about music

AND about Betti, I thought I'd do

a little pimpage for her hubby,

Freimann. (his name translates

into 'free man' btw.)

Most of you have probably

read about him in Betti's

guestpost over at Straight Jacket Aimee. So you might get an idea, why Betti especially loves this song. Or not.

It's about a person whose life means so much pain that he would happily end it, if it wasn't worth to endure it all for the one he loves.

Anyway... since this tune goes through several surprising transitions before the love is shining brightly, it is rewarding to listen to the end - though it is long, admittedly. Hope you enjoy.
